The Importance of Eating Breakfast

Eating-Breakfast

It seems like more and more people are forgetting the most important meal of the day…and that’s eating breakfast!!

Some people believe that they will save calories by skipping breakfast. That is far from the truth!! Actually, when you skip breakfast (or any meal really) your body starts going into survival/starvation mode. This means that your body will utilize the proteins in your lean muscle in order to fuel itself—yikes!! When you skip breakfast, (or any meal) you start to lose energy.

Oftentimes when you skip breakfast you will find yourself indulging later in the day…whether it be more unhealthy snack requests, eating more at your other meals, or possibly late night snacking will happen.

While some skip breakfast to falsely save calories, others are unable to find time to make breakfast as they are always on the go and rushed, or they are simply unsure of what to eat for breakfast. Either way…it’s no good!

Studies have shown that skipping breakfast can lead to a lower metabolism as well as weight gain. See more information and 5 things that you can do to boost your metabolism.

Our body is similar to a car in that in needs fuel (food) to run. The better we treat our car (our body) the better it will run!! The morning is the most important time to “fuel up” as you have been sleeping, and more than likely haven’t eaten in over 10 hours. Time to recharge!!

Here are some examples of healthy eating breakfast ideas:

All of these are very fast and easy ideas. Sorry….coffee wasn’t on the list. A healthy breakfast should include protein and fibre, the combination will help satisfy your hunger and will keep you feeling full until lunch time. The protein can come from low-fat meat, low-fat dairy products, protein powder, or nuts and nut butters.

Eggs are also a good source of protein. They’re also high in saturated fats, but one egg only has about 75 calories and they’re quite satiating so it can help keep the hunger pangs away. High-fiber foods include fruits, vegetables and whole grains.

Studies show that adults and children who eat breakfast in the morning perform better at school and at work. It is proven that with breakfast, concentration and memory improve, mental performance and problem-solving ability is better and learning ability is increased.

Not only this but studies generally prove that most people who eat breakfast manage their weight better, are not obese or overweight, have lower levels of cholesterol, which means they are less likely to suffer from heart disease and are generally in better health overall, not to mention in better mood. 🙂

Hope you had your breakfast today!! 🙂

Get the benefit of a 1 hour workout in just 10 minutes!

The DKN Vibration Trainer helps accelerate weight loss and achieve a more toned body. The appearance of cellulite is controlled, which leaves you with smoother and tighter skin. Other benefits include improved balance, strength, flexibility and endurance, increased energy levels, better mental focus, and improved sleeping habits.

DKN Vibration Trainers are widely used in homes, physical therapy, rehabilitation, gyms and professional sports. Without having a 30-minute workout and a 30-minute massage, you can achieve the same results in less than 15 minutes while standing still and watching TV!

Similar to a massage or workout, a whole body vibration exercise machine helps improve blood circulation and enhances lymphatic function. When the lymphatic system gets blocked, it fails to eliminate toxins that can cause depression, fatigue, and chronic health problems like joint and muscular pain.

Proper lymphatic drainage prevents the accumulation of harmful toxins in the body’s systems and increases the production of good hormones, including endorphins, serotonin, and collagen, and helps improve flexibility and range of motion. This reduces stress and physical pain while achieving a slimmer and tighter body.
