Why do we celebrate Mother’s Day?

Mother’s Day is celebrated in many ways all around the globe. Different countries celebrate this special occasion on different dates, with the most common day being the 2nd Sunday in May. This day expresses respect, honor, and love towards mothers and acknowledges the efforts of maternal bonds and the role of mothers in our society.

It is a day that makes people remember the importance and significance of mothers in their life and is observed as a day to give special emphasis to the motherly figures around the world.

There is one relationship in this mortal life that effortlessly scores above all other known relationships on this Earth. That extraordinary relationship is none other than that of the mother, which is truly priceless in terms of her countless love, dedication, and devotion towards her family.

Mother’s Day is celebrated across more than 46 countries of the world. Its purpose is “to honor the best mother who ever lived: yours.”

I can really relate to this as I believe I had the best mother ever who truly showed what Unconditional Love was all about and all she sacrificed her entire life for her family. I also see how my wife Bev is the best mom ever to our children and then to see our daughters and daughter-in-law being the best Mom ever.

How do you celebrate your Mom? I invite you to share your stories, perhaps a special memory of your Mom, or tell us what Mother’s Day means to you and your family.
