Great Health Tips for Men

Most men are pretty stubborn.  They don’t want to take care of  themselves and they just brush off how they are feeling or what their body is telling them.  Oh men, you know you do!

It is so important that you take the time to treat yourself and your body right or it could end up with more serious damage down the road.  For tips from our VP Craig Jacobs, please watch his video!

Not only are the tips in the video helpful, but they are so basic that you can’t help but to take care of your health. Let’s look at a few more men’s health tips to get you started on this journey of taking care of yourself!

More Men’s Health Tips

Drink Water – Okay, so that was said in the video. But we cannot stress how important water is for your body and how your body functions.

Our body is made up of 75% water, so making sure we stay hydrated is obviously, very important.

And here’s your fun fact on why you should be getting water: While a person can live for a few weeks without eating any food, that same person can only live a few days without water.

Did you know that the right pH level in your body is necessary for optimal health?

The chemical reaction that results from essential minerals and alkaline H2O helps in increasing the electrolytes needed by the major organs in our body to maintain normal levels of sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium and other dietary minerals.

Alkalizing your drinking water instantly with AlkaPitcher alkaline ionizer (Water Pitcher with Filter) balances your body’s electrolytes to give you increased energy and a healthier body!

Take Care Of Your Bones – Bone health is more often mentioned in relation to women’s health than men’s. But after the age of 30, men’s bone mass begins to decline.

This can lead to a greater chance of suffering fractures — and with all those softball game slides and “touch” football tackles, that’s not something guys can really afford.

To help keep your bones strong, you might want to consider taking 1,000 milligrams of calcium combined with 400 IU (international units) of vitamin D, which has been shown to enhance the body’s ability to absorb the bone-building nutrient.

Try Yoga – Yes, even manly men can get in to some great poses and stretch their bodies. Your body tends to adapt to the ways in which you use it. So when you go from being fairly active to sitting behind a desk, hunched over a keyboard while squinting at spreadsheets, your body’s not really getting the message that you’d like it to be long, lean and flexible.

Even taking part in exercises like jogging or playing basketball might not be enough to help because they use only a limited range of motion.

Start with a short video or a class with your wife or lady friend and get down to the core of your body. Not only is yoga good for your body, its pretty relaxing and it lets you clear your mind too which is good for your mental health.

These are just a few extra health tips to get you where you need to be.  What do you do that helps you to keep your body in tip top shape?
